For those new to the world of information technology the opportunities available are expansive, so much so that for many they just don't know what they don't know. Our role as participants in the industry is to bring awareness to the many opportunities available and the skills necessary to compete for the opportunity to be a part of this growing industry.
Learning the importance of keeping your skills fresh and watching for the shifts in the industry is a part of what we teach at Nebula Academy. We help bring awareness to the exciting career possibilities by bringing in guest speakers each week to Nebula Academy students in our Software Engineering Bootcamp. This week LaShana Breland joined us in a pinch to fill our speaker spot after we had a cancellation last minute. We really appreciate the support from our guest speakers who take the time out of their busy schedules to meet our students and share their career journey.

LaShana shared her career journey and her passion for process automation and how technology continues to shape a more efficient future.
LaShana discussed with the class the importance of diversity in the technology industry and her work with Long Island Women in Tech and her goal to increase the number of women working in technology careers and increasing overall diversity in the industry.
