Many students new to the world of application development and information technology hear the stories of Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Jeff Bezos and many others, these success stories of entrepreneurs drive interest in the opportunity to be the next big entrepreneur and have the winning idea to launch their own business. Having the opportunity to speak to someone who has successfully started a business and maintained long term success provides students insight to what it takes, the challenges, and the learning lessons that they can then take into consideration for their own future.
Greg Henson is a successful entrepreneur who leads Henson Group, a Global Microsoft Services company headquartered in New York City (www.HensonGroup.com). Additionally, Greg is Founder and CEO at Cloud for Impact, a non-profit organization dedicated to training veterans, women, and working-class people for a career in Azure (www.CloudForImpact.org). Greg took time out of his busy schedule to share his career journey with our students. Students learned about his early career before starting his business and how he continues to build on his success.

Follow your passion and the money will come. If you are doing what you love, the passion will show, and customers will see that, and you will be successful.
For me I realized that happiness is a choice that you make and a skill that you develop. Happiness for me is being happy with what I have. I find that desire is the opposite of happiness for me.
Don’t be afraid to make mistakes, I have made a ton of them, learn from them. Often times bad decisions make really great stories.
