Overview

WEP provides 21st century workforce skills for anyone looking to discover the opportunities surrounding the technology industry. This program provides participants with a foundation of skills to enter in to a career in a support capacity or through the role of an administrator of a business’s cloud email system.  All of our programs provide participants with an online community where they can continue their learning and engage with industry experts and their peers.

Objectives/Outcomes

This is a 10-day instructor-led training (ILT) course that introduces participants to the IT profession for cloud based administration, cloud customer relationship management, and website development and administration. Participants will learn to evaluate, plan, deploy, and operate Office 365 services, as well as template based website administration. This course focuses on skills required  for entry level career roles in small businesses and not for profit organizations. Participants gain real world experience that they can expand on once in role, providing an opportunity to be a part of the fastest growing career field. 

This course will provide an introduction to the IT profession with the training to learn how to plan, configure, and manage an Office 365 environment. Students will learn concepts of technology such as Domain Name System (DNS), TCPIP, foundations in Cybersecurity, Office 365 Administration, WordPress Web Development, and a general understanding of the entire Microsoft Office 365 Suite. This program does not go into specifics regarding each of the services but an introduction to how they play a role in Office 365 and the career potential for learning more about each.

This course is intended as preparation material for students who are looking to take the exams 70-346: Managing Office 365 Identities and Requirements and 70-347: Enabling Office 365 Services to obtain the MCSA: Office 365 certification. This program does not guarantee success with these exams, simply an introduction and information on how to prepare for the exams if interested post the program.

 After completing this course, students will have an understanding of how to be able to:

•Configure the Office 365 tenant

•Manage Office 365 users, groups, and licenses, and configure delegated administration.

•Plan and configure client connectivity to Office 365.

•Plan and manage Exchange Online recipients and permissions.

•Plan and implement the Skype for Business Online deployment.

•Plan and configure an Office 365 collaboration solution that includes Yammer Enterprise, OneDrive for Business, and Office 365 groups, and Microsoft Teams.

•Monitor and review Office 365 services, and troubleshoot Office 365 issues.

•How to input and manage data in Microsoft CRM .

•How to setup, and manage a WordPress Website

•Communication skills across email, and video conferencing

•Career Readiness skills in LinkedIn as well as career interview success.
